Croatia Adriatic
Island Hopping Adventure

Cruise Intro:
You'll be island hopping and sailing with like-minded travelers as we cover the biggest highlights on the Croatian coast aboard one of the liveliest boats on the Adriatic right in the middle of the “high season” in August- one of the best months of the year to be in this region because of great weather and warmer water temperatures. Swim in secluded bays and once in port explore historic towns and villages. Watch golden sunsets with your friends sipping cool drinks from the decks of your boat and let the mood take you out in the evenings to waterside cafes or vibrant bars and clubs. Our stops include the World Heritage listed City of Split and the spectacular ancient walled city of Dubrovnik - described memorably as “Heaven on Earth” by George Bernard Shaw. Traveling down the coast of Croatia, one of the sunniest in Europe, your boat will visit the beautiful island of Hvar, which has some of the most exclusive bars and clubs on the Adriatic. The island of Korcula - the birthplace of Marco Polo, Hvar, the party capital of the Adriatic and the golden beaches of Brac all provide more opportunities to soak up history and culture with renaissance cathedrals, ancient monuments and remarkable theatres to keep you busy. We take in the amazing salt lakes of the National Park in Mljet and the highest seaside mountains on the Med, the Makarska Riviera. Along the route your Captain will regularly moor up in small, untouched bays and beaches to allow you the chance to fling yourself off the boat into the clear, calm waters of the Adriatic for a cooling swim. During the trip you will the opportunity to do optional activities such as snorkeling and scuba diving, rafting, hiking and a day trip through to Mostar in Bosnia. Your breakfasts and lunches are freshly prepared for you by our on board chef each day. Come evening you are free to step ashore and visit one of the many waterside bars, cafes and pretty town restaurants. Absorb the sights and smells of a balmy Croatian evening while enjoying a drink and local specialty dishes.

About the boat: Ensuite Cruising Vessel
The Croatian Island experience is best done with a classic wooden cruising vessel. This allows you the access to all the hidden coves, small ports and beautiful locations that this region has to offer. These boats also allow us more personalized service and a chance for spontaneous stops. You will really get to know your fellow travelers and helpful crew during your week in the Adriatic! Our Ensuite boat is great if you want the extra privacy and convenience of a toilet and shower in your cabin. The Ensuite boats are typically a little bigger than our Standard boats in size and because of this take an average of 30-40 travelers. The cabins are based on twin share and are mostly bunk beds. The ensuite cabins are generally smaller with plenty space enough to shower and change comfortably. All bedding is provided as well as a cabin towel for personal use. We recommend you bring a beach towel for use on the decks or beaches. The cabins are mainly located above deck, which are sometimes over two levels (main deck & top deck). Our below deck cabins are located in the hull of the boat. All of the boats have fully stocked and licensed bars. Like traditional cruising, you won't be able to consume your own alcohol onboard the boats, however the drinks provided are cold, well stocked, and prices are very reasonable averaging about 1.50 Euro for wine/spirits and 2.50 Euro for half a liter of beer. Local and imported drinks are available. You will be served a homemade breakfast and lunch each day during the cruise consisting of freshly prepared foods and local dishes. Vegetarians and others with special food needs can be accommodated All the boats have deck chairs to lounge about on, and other various inflatables for use in the water. If you're not a confident swimmer all boats have small tenders (dingies), which the crew use to ferry people into the bays if you want to sit on the beaches rather than swim off the boat.

The 7th century walls with fortifications towering above the township, fascinating outlying Resin Islands, waterfront restaurants and famous bars make it a popular first night's stop. We overnight along the town waterfront where we have prime position to immerse ourselves in the atmosphere of restaurants and cafes. Climb up to the hill fort to enjoy the magnificent views across the town and outer islands before relaxing on deck sipping cocktails and getting to know your fellow travelers. Often there are magical sunsets you wish would go on forever and combined with clubs such as Carpe Dieme, Veneranda and the Nautica Bar give those wanting a late night plenty of options to choose from. **Please note - If you miss the departure for any reason there are alternative ferries, which depart in the afternoon so you will be able to meet with the boats later in the evening.
  • Sunday HVAR - TRSTENIK Early in the morning we continue our trip south. Our first stop is in one of the bays near Loviste, on the Peljesac peninsula. After a refreshing swim we continue towards Trstenik considered to be one of the most beautiful and unspoilt traditional villages along the Croatian coast. Trstenik is set along a deep south facing bay which is lined by a pebble beach. The sea here is crystal clear, and is rich in underwater life. The town is a traditional village famous for its wine growing and was built in the late 19th Century as an important harbor for the transportation of grapes from Plejesacs isolated southern vineyards to Italy and beyond. We overnight here and relax in the tranquil setting whilst our Captain and Crew fire up the onboard BBQ for those wanting dinner onboard the boat.
  • Monday TRSTENIK - DUBROVNIK After breakfast we depart for Dubrovnik, which will be the highlight of our cruise. There will be time just for a short swim amongst the outlying Elephite islands. Enjoy the beautiful sights of nature along the way as we cruise towards heaven on earth - according to the famous writer George Bernard Shaw. We will arrive in Dubrovnik in early afternoon. Take a walk through the Stradun - both a street and a square, a promenade inside the city walls. The old town was completed in the 13th century and remains virtually unchanged to the present day. For those of you with the energy we recommend a walk on top of the 1,940m long city walls! You will be amazed with hidden gems such as Cafe Buza which sits on the cliff face along the walls where you can sit back and watch the cliff divers jumping off the walls with the sun falling in the background. Small alleyways hide traditional restaurants with bucket loads of atmosphere. Later in the evening there are plenty of late night hang outs such as the Capitano bar, EastWest Beach Club, Club Fuego and Fresh bar to keep you awake into the early hours.
  • Tuesday DUBROVNIK - MLJET After a night in Dubrovnik we leave this magnificent town in the morning and continue our cruise north through the Elephite islands where we will stop for a refreshing swim before heading onto Mljet National Park. The whole afternoon is free to look at the salt lakes in the National Park and enjoy the sun and sea on this peaceful island. We will overnight in the port Polaca/Pomena. In the middle of the large lake, inside the National park, we can visit the little isle of St Mary, with an ancient Benedictine monastery an old abbey and church dating from the 12 Century, or just use a small boat, kayak, bicycle, scooter or cabriolet to roam around the National Park.
  • Wednesday MLJET - KORCULA After a night in Mljet we leave this magnificent island later in the morning and continue our cruise towards the island of Korcula stopping at Lumbarda beach and bar (also on Korcula island), where we can enjoy some afternoon beach fun on the various water activities - jet ski’s, windsurfing, and paragliding. If anyone wishes to explore Korcula Island it is possible to hire a taxi or scooter and meet the boats in Korcula town later in the afternoon. Later in the afternoon we continue onto Korcula, the birthplace of MARCO POLO. You’ll have the opportunity to explore Korcula while we overnight in port. On this island you can find more legends, tales and monuments than anywhere else. Listen to the story of the stone walls, which were being built over two centuries ago. After dinner you will probably work your way towards the Dos Locos bar and then you can follow the locals onto disco Gaudi inside the old town walls, which is open until sunrise. Just don’t miss the boat the next morning!
  • Thursday KORCULA - MAKARSKA The next morning we will sail back up the Dalmatian coast up to the Makarska Riviera. We spend the afternoon swimming at one of the beautiful bays before arriving into Makarska later in the afternoon. Makarska is the most attractive coastline on the Dalmatian coast nestled under the massive peaks of the Biokovo mountain range with Mt Jure the highest seaside peak on the Mediterranean. Stroll along the ancient streets and explore numerous churches and other architectural and cultural sights that take your interest. For anyone needing to burn off some extra calories there is a guided excursion to the top of Biokovo Mountains where you can do some hiking, taking in some amazing views and the sunset from the top. If you are looking at nightlife options there is the cocktail bar Marineta and for late night takers there is the infamous club “Deep” a natural cave next to the sea which booms into the wee hours.
  • Friday MAKARSKA - SPLIT We use Makarska as a great base for starting the land options for the day which include an optional day trip through to Mostar in Bosnia. This option includes transport from Makarska and back to Split where you can meet back up on the final night (packed lunch included). The boats will make there way back to Split stopping for a swim break and lunch at one of the pretty coastal beaches. There is an optional river rafting activity after lunch for anyone who wishes to get some action in for the day. Again you will be dropped back in Split later in the afternoon where you will rejoin the boats. For those staying with the boats we start our journey back to Split and arrive during the late afternoon. Enjoy the view of the Split Riviera as we motor into port. Split is a monumental city under UNESCO protection that belongs not only to Croatians, but also to you, as it is a part of the world heritage. Here we find an abundance of Roman architecture - of special interest is the Diocletian palace.
  • Saturday SPLIT Early breakfast after which it is time to say goodbye to the crew and all your new friends. Transfer to Split airport for flights home or to additional optional extensions that will be offered to explore more of this unique region Please note - It is possible for you to leave as early as needed on Saturday morning to catch flights as the boat will be in port by Friday night.
